This place rips you off. the ABCRC (Alberta Beverage Container Recycling Corp) states that anything under 1L is 10 cents and anything over is 25 cents.

So I counted my bottles, and totaled it to be $88.10. I mixed them all up, put it into 5 full garbage bags and took it there. I noticed that they count by type first, and since all 5 bags didn't fit onto the counter, they should have continued to re-write as they went along. But they didn't. I am sure that they jumped from one type to another to confuse the customer.

I got back $34.25. SOMETHING IS VERY WRONG

I showed them my list and tally of amount of each container, and type. They argued that the rate they charge is 5 cents for this and 10 cents for that and 20 cents for another.

Are you kidding me??? The ABCRC is govt run and this business should comply as they are listed as vendor under their site!

I now sort my bottles by under a litre and over. I also have a tag on each bag with the count and the date I put more bottles in. I also make SURE they know that I've already counted and calculated the exact cost I should be getting back.

This seems like a lot more work on my end than needs be. I wish they were more honest.

Don't even get me started on their customer service skills!
