While you will lose the wieght at Dr Bersteins, it'll cost you a fortune and you'll put all of it back on, maybe even more. You'll go back again and again to try and get back to your thin self, but you'll eventually be broke or give up, like i did.

I'm a fit person, I exercise regularily and eat very heathly, but since doing Dr B, I can't drop any weight because my metabolism is ruined! I was on the Dr B diet, which is a nurse monitored starvation diet, for 8 weeks and am now paying the price of an unheathly outlook on food, carbs, and have no metabolism!

STAY AWAY! There is a reason you lose so much weight so fast, its unhealthy and once you start consuming anymore than 1,000 calories a day, you will gain it back little by little until you are at or even over your starting weight! On the diet you only eat between 650-800 calories a day, they do not encourage you to work out..you feel cold all the time and have no energy.

Do yourself a favor and spend the money on "U Weight Loss" or "Weight Watchers" program, yes you'll only losss about 1-3 lbs per week, but you will learn better eating habits and you'll learn to keep the wieght off.

Best of luck...but stay away from Bernsteins!!!

They do not stay off. The side effects of this diet both physically and mentally are not healthy.

I would recommend Dr B's to anyone. Both my sister and I had great results with Dr. B's. I lost 30+ lbs in 5 weeks.

Okay, the reception staff weren't the freindliest but the nurses were excellent.

If you want to lose weight, follow their diet to a "T" and the pounds will come off!!!

Dr. Bernstein weight loss clinics are a huge rip off and the staff is nasty most of the time. I have been going to the clinic in Richmond Hill and all I wanted to do was lose weight. There is a lot of coersion to comply, not only with the diet, which goes insane when a client is not losing weight and then they are put on a modified plan. If they are not losing they are forced to give up any semblance of a healthy diet and are not allowed to eat any fruits. When they do the modified plan, they have to lose an impossible amount of weight by a certain date. If they do not they are then dumped out of the program for two weeks. Every time there is a restart clients have to pay to top up the number of injections to 24. This is not a choice. They are forced to do this. In fact, the client has no choice if they want to continue in the diet. I sincerely believe that this is an issue for the courts. Clients should not be signing contracts under duress. If there is not restart within 3 weeks the client forfeits any of the funds paid to the clinics. This is also the case if the client (as myself) works out of town).
There is no talking with the staff. They do not hear nor see. This is a horrible, horrible miscarriage of justice to see this kind of program going on. The stars that endorse this program are not treated as the ordinary client. The only positive is that clients do lose weight, but the whole experience is so nasty that it is better to fine somewhere else to do it.
