I came to this shop with my sister-in-law-to-be as they had the Maggie Sottero trunk show.
We had an appointment and once we walked in, we were greeted and told we can look downstairs at bridesmaids dresses until our room was ready. We were brought upstairs within 10 minutes and shown our room. We had some small talk with some of the ladies who ran the place and once they left, my sister and I talked about how lovely this place seemed. One of the ladies came back and started to ask what my sister was looking for and brought three dresses, including one that she fell in love with looking on the Maggie Sottero website. To our disappointment, neither of us liked any of the dresses. So the lady brought two more. She then asked where the wedding and reception would be. My sister being Australian, we were to head back to Australia to have the wedding and reception. The lady seemed a bit upset by this; I think perhaps if we were to buy the dress from here, they would lose some marketing? Not sure why. Anyway, the lady started to seem frazzled and annoyed. Helping my sister change out of her clothes into the dresses, she would THROW her clothes ACROSS the room ON THE FLOOR! I said I would gladly take them, so for the next dress, she threw her clothes at me. And when I say THREW HER CLOTHES, she whipped it at me. She apologized under her breath. I was nice enough not to say anything.
After the fifth dress, my sister and I started looking at the dresses around the room as the ones that the lady were bringing weren't what we were looking for. The lady then said WHILE SITTING DOWN ON THE COUCH "You know, most brides know after the third dress they try on that that's the dress they want." WHO SAYS THAT!?!? I asked if they had any more dresses that had less ruching (as they ones she was bringing were hideous and was not our style at all). She then stood up with her head, nose (AND ASS) high in the air and CORRECTED me and gave me a lecture on the difference between ruching and pleating. With her face right in mine, I was so close to slapping her, but I held my composure. We pulled a couple dresses from the rack and the lady then would say "That won't fit you" or "That will look extremely unflattering on you, don't bother". We had about enough from this old witch and said that we'll think about things. She obviously sensed we weren't going to buy anything so she just helped to take off the current dress my sister was in and left her business card. She didn't even walk us downstairs or say goodbye or even a thanks for coming.
I was so angry and pissed off that when we left and while there were about 15 people in the downstairs area, I spoke really loudly to my sister "Thank Goodness we're leaving, this place is a shithole with old bitter women who probably NEVER got laid".
This was our FIRST time wedding shopping and it sucks that it was so terrible. My sister didn't want to go wedding shopping for a long time after this. This place is just downright horrible and I would never recommend this place and when someone mentions it, I've always persuaded them not to come here.
