Paint and Flooring Warehouse delivered hardwood to our home.
Their company rep came inside and acknowledged that it was not a match to ourexisting flooring. He told me that the flooring that we have is not manufactured in Canada due to changes in laws and there is no way that we would find a match. Now I should mention that the payment went to a contractor, not directly to Paint and Flooring.
Company rep(Paint and Flooring), who delivered the hardwood to us, stated that he could take it back and it was up to me to decide that very moment. I told him I would have to have my husband see it and need some time. I specifically asked if it would be a problem to return it. The answer was no, returning is not a problem, but, "honestly, this is the best you would ever get!" He also stated that I could talk to owner about getting a discount. Later that day we did talk to owner, who repeated the same that his rep stated earlier.
My complaint is that they lied to me, because they said they could drive that delivery back immediately OR later OR offer discount. Once they got paid and the product was dropped off, they refused to talk to us on the phone or reply to any messages, forget exchanging the product or offering discount. We paid top dollar for hardwood which Paint and Flooring Warehouse delivered to us. The owner did tell me the price, the amount he said was even more than what we paid to the contractor. That tells me he LIED, again. The manufacturer of the hardwood they delivered is UNKNOWN in Canada. Paint and Flooring Warehouse does NOT even list this manufacturer on their website.
Overall, we are extremely dissatisfied with the company and being lied to many times. We asked Paint and Flooring warehouse to exchange this hardwood and even offered to buy more to do our kitchen. They never replied. We later found perfect match to our existing flooring and even provided them with its ID and the name of the company where we found it. There was no reply from them.

As for the contractor(Alef Kitchens and More), we have filed a complaint against them with the BBB and they are not replying to the BBB. Money is all they care about. Our next step is to go to court and include both companies.

I came across this store when I was out and about shopping one day and I can't tell you how happy I am about it!! I needed floor and paint for my main floor. The service was excellent from the second I walked in the door. They didn't pressure me, answered my questions and explain the process to me (since I had never reno'd so to speak before). They were even great and patient when I had my little one with me. The owner himself took all the time in the world with me. My husband and I could call him direct on his cell anytime and even when we left a message, he would get back to us within the day.
I have looked at prices all over and this by far was the best and from my new knowledge of hardwood, a far better product. :o) I have since sent a friend and her husband here and they are thrilled too! Check this place out! They have a bigger store than the one listed here, it is around the corner from the old one. 3345 Laird Road. Go see them!
