Dear Sir, Madam, I bought a sofa, ottoman and a rug from the Brick. When the sofa arrived I realized the rug would be too big to fit the area and the colour a too dark, two days later I took it back and was told that the store Do Not Take Accessorise back they give a store credit. I read the return policy and explained to the woman at customer service that the rug was never open and no where have I read that I could not return a rug within the 7 day period. The Very Rude customer service woman said “this is their store policy and they do not follow what I read on the Brick Website. I asked her to show me where in the store that policy was so that all can read she could not answer me.
All I want is to return the rug. After being treaded the way I did I just want to take my business elsewhere and I just want my money back. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed that a well know company “The Brick” would treat their customer this way. I am also frustrated that there is not a head office number that I can call to ask about this policy. I have to send an email and heaven knows when I will get a reply. My 7 days will be up soon. Is this how the brick works? I will never set foot in another brick again and I will make sure I warn family members, friends and co-workers to be aware of the brick.
All I want is my money back.

I question if their staff is even aware of how uninformed they are. I had the girl trying to register my girlfriend for a credit card tell her she didn't need to read the legally binding conract she was reading, and she should just sign it. She also asked us if we wanted to pay $1.50 a month for insurance on the card, but had no idea what the insurance would cover. We ended up cancelling that.

Had a sales rep tell us we needed their $90 bed-frame for a mattress to keep the 90-day sleep comfort promise, instead of just the $70 one. Also told us the 90 day promise applies to the as-is clearance mattress. We asked for confirmation on that 3 times, and were told yes every time, then asked another associate after we bought it, and we were told that it did not apply to the as-is clearance mattresses, despite us asking 3 times.

Finally bought a mattress later, and the mattress that came smells like mold, squeeks (didn't in the store), and is way more firm than the floor model in the store. I like plush and I thought the floor model was good, my girlfriend likes firm and thought it was a good compromise, but it is too firm even for her, it hurts her hip to lay on her side. If you sit on the end of the bed, the whole head of the bed raises. I actually thought it was the wrong mattress they delivered. You can feel the springs when you lay on it.

We asked for a refund and were told there is no refund policy. Spoke to the manager who basically told us we paid $500 for a mattress, and you get what you pay for. And if we want to use the 90 day sleep comfort promise, we can order a new mattress with them using the money towards it, and pay for delivery a second time. We were told that it is standard that the head of a bed will raise if you sit on the foot of it (despite neither of us having ever experienced this before), and that the fact the floor model and the mattress we got are different doesn't matter.

I had a great experience with a helpful Asian (Indian) sales consultant (can't remember her name). She knew the mattresses and furniture and was even helpful in some decorating ideas. I will definitely return to The Brick in the future.

It's just a shame.
I ordered appliances through Brick this week. Salesperson has entered a different address from what Brick had already on file. Guess where it has been brought into. Old address...Nobody bothered to call one day prior about 3 hours delivery slot. Therefore I spent half of next day to realise that they came to a different address.
I paid Brick for appliances and service. Who will pay me for not getting this service?

On Sunday I went to the Brick for the first time to purcahse a bed. Things were going well and at first I was told that the bed and box spring came together then I was being told that there was no box spring and I would have to purchase one. I agreed to this as the price was good. The staff member then informs me that they were being delivered on 2 different days, but she would try to fix this. Tuesday I receive a call at 1030am informing me that the delivery would happen between 11-1pm I asked if that meant closer to 11 or closer to 1 and was told closer to 11. I went home to wait and waited and waited I tried calling the Brick afet 1pm and was put on hold and forced to listen to how great the Brick is. When someone finally answered they informed me that they would try to reach driver and get back to me. No return call came, so I called again, I was informed they could not reach the driver as he was not picking up. The delivery took place afer 3 pm. Needless to say I was not impressed and to top this the box spring was not on the truck. I was then informed it would be delivered the next day. I tried to speak with a manger and was informed that they would call in 1/2 hour but this did not happen. That evening I received a computer message informing me that they would deliver the box spring today between 11-1pm. I called to ask to have this changed but was informed that no one was capable of doing this I refused to waste another day at home when I had to be at work but no one at the Brick has taken any courses on customer service and so I cancelled the box spring. I will not deal with the BRICK again. I will also make sure my friends and family know how I was treated by the BRICK.

this store is awful. If I think back to all the trouble I had when purchasing my sofa, I should have just returned it and been done with them. Unfortunately, I kept the couch and aam now stuck with a crappy couch. It has fallen apart twice. I paid extra for a warranty and now the Brick won't return my call. i have had to call repeatedly and they put me on hold forever. when they take a message, they don't return the call.

Do yourself a favour and DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE. The merchandise is shoddy at best, the delivery people show up whenever they feel like it, and they don't call, the sales people are sharks - only looking for a commission, and not at all helpful, the customer service people are anything but helpful - they are rude and dismissive. They lose records of purchases, including warranties. If I could rate them at less than half a star, I would.

Got a very bad experience in first time dealing with Brick, South Edmonton .got incomplete delivery, charged me double, later find out that their software has glitches.. it took me 6 business days to convince The Brick, Edmonton that they they have charged me double, and now convincing that received an incomplete shipment. There is no ethics of customer services, Manager and Corporate don’t respond at all. For Sure, it would be the first and last time to deal with this store.

Too bad you can't give negative ratings. We purchased a sofa and love seat in the fall, and I recently discovered that we had "signed" for their payment protection plan and they had been adding a monthly fee of $30 + interest to our account. I did not sign up for payment protection, nor have I ever done so in my history of shopping at the Brick, so I requested a copy of the form. The form that was mailed to me had a scanned, half-sized image of my signature, "pasted" above the signature line. I'm not sure exactly where the image was copy and pasted from but I asked again for the blue ink original for me to see and was told that all original forms are shredded after the applications are digitized.

I stand by my original declaration that I DID NOT sign for payment protection. Take heed all - avoid this place. If you have already shopped there, check your paperwork closely.

So i buy a TV here, and expect it for early Jan. They phone me about once a week since and keep moving out the expected delivery date. So i phone to say WTH. And they tell me that even though I put a down payment on my tv, they said because I didn’t pay in full, if someone else came in a bought the tv and paid for it in full, they’d sell it to them. That shady sales man never mentioned that to me. Future Shop, here i come.
