I am very happy with my med spa experience at Pure Med Spa. The technician girl was very knowledgeable and made me look 10 years younger with dermal fillers. I was also pleased with the discount they gave me after my 5th treatment of Velashape.

Terrible experience, the woman doing my treatment didnt know what she what she is doing and my treatment was done in 10 minutes.

I should have known better but bought a laser hair removal package through GroupOn or similar. I've had four of six treatments and am not seeing any of the results I expected/was promised. I guess I feel lucky because it could have been worse; I could have actually been burned instead of just wasting my money.

Pure Med Spa has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Availability is terrible and you have to book way in advance. Then, if you're lucky, when the appointment day draws closer you get a call to either cancel or reschedule. Otherwise, you show up and find out there is no one working that can even perform the service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ORGANIZATION!!!

This company has a bad habit of taking your money up front and closing shop soon after. If you try to contact them at other locations, they do not return calls and continually lie about giving you a refund for the services still owed. I spoke with the regional manager, accountant, and owner of Pure Med Spa/Brite Smile/Pinnacle about this and each one told me for months that I was going to get my money back with no results.

If you are in Ontario and have gotten ripped off by this company there are a few ways you can get you money back.

1. Go to your credit card right away and file a dispute. I got my money back within a month.

2. Call Consumer Protections to file a complaint **this is very important because if they get enough complaints, the government will open an investigation and can shut them down.

Having a problematic skin can be pretty frustrating and depressing sometimes. And the whole cosmetic & dermatology industry feeds off of your desperation to get your problem solved so you can start feeling better again.

PureMedSpa is no exception. I visited this place about 1 1/2 years ago in my very desparate attempt to try to clear my face off of the acne that has been haunting me again for a while. Before this i tried number of things and none worked so I opted out for higher-end place with "experts". (higher prices that is cuz the place itself is nothing special)

And the very expert you have to go through first to analyze your problem was this sales manager. Now i should have known better that sales + expert = interest in their commision at the end of your consultation session not necessarily just your wellbeing.

So i got ripped off of course. Lady analyzes my skin and tells me that clear light technology is my solution. VERY EXPENSIVE in this place i must add for 10 sessions i paid about $1200 i think. They tell you "we have people like you coming here aaaaall the time and their problem is solved". The promise and hope they give you ties closely with getting your life back on track so you are willing to give them anything. You also have to buy the products there and some cosmetics too cuz its all about the regime which one doesnt work without the other. So I left the place lighter of 1.5k

Of course .. clear light didnt' work for me. So another round of 10 sessions was necessary since they didnt' asess my situation properly PLUS i wasn't doing my regime routine diligently!! lol .. well ok, i can slack once in a while but still .. somehow they sucked me into buying another round of sessions for a bigger discount cuz i made a fuss about it. Again i didn't realize the bigger discounts you get the less chances of getting your money back ;-).

I used about 1/2 of the sessions and after not seing any improvement i basically didnt' come back. I went to the acne clinic on Yonge & Eglinton and within a month seen HUGE progress becasue my acne was actually treated for what it was .. result of hyperactive oil gland or soemthing like that.

Sometimes you just have to look at the problem to its roots not the surface. Slapping on some cleansers & toners no matter how great the brand is will not solve the problem. Just like some headaches are caused by needing reading glasses not painkillers etc.

Overall this place is just ridiculous for the amount of money one spends there, there is not enough staff to accomodate your appoitments, it was always a hassle to schedule it. Also front desk staff was not the most helpfull or knowledgable.

Really .. just not impressed.
