I just wanted to share my really bad experience with these guys at Speedy Glass in Port Moody.
I had a small (less than 2 cm wide) chip rock crack on my windshield glass. So I went to the nearest location that I found and it was in Port Moody at Speedy Glass.
It took them more than 2 Hours to fix that crack and at first glance everything looked really nice.
Forgot to mention that I payed $100 for this job.( Now that I found another place at Crystal Glass where I could do the same kind of repair for just $25).
Next day I noticed that the crack started to spread, but I was not sure about this fact, so decided to wait for another day. On the third day it was already 2.5 cm long. I went to that location again and it was on the 23 of December. Lady at the front desk told me that I had to pay additional $100 to fix this crack. Anyway, after long and painful conversation at my request to see the manager they told me he was on vacation and will be back on the 27 of December. On my concern that till that date the crack might go even further they were trying to persuade me that nothing bad is going to happen and everything we'll be fine.
In three days the crack was all over the windshield, so when I went to Speedy Glass, manager who met me with the broad smile on his face was absolutely happy to say that the only way out in that situation was to replace the whole windshield what they would gladly do for just the additional $420. ( NO EXCUSES, NO COMMENTS, NOT A SINGLE WORD )
That's my story.
P.S. Two days ago at Crystal Glass at Maple ridge I installed the new glass just for $350, not mentioning that these guys drove me home and took me back when the car was ready.

to the person who drove 45mins to get to the glass shop....ARE YOU CRAZY??? how many glass shops did you drive past on your way? my guess would be about 20-30. Good job.

Aweful time with these guys. I had an appointment made for 1 pm and they took us in but couldnt find us on the appointment schedule and such. Even tho we called the 1800 number to get it booked. But anyways they took it in, we left for about 3 hours, came back from the mall they said its late, so basically had to wait another hour in the waiting room for it to be done, we were angry. We travelled 45 minutes to get there and another 45 back home, we then actually left angry. We then noticed about 3 days later we saw the stuff like it was supposed to keep it in like liner was popping out and stuff the glue didnt set or anything it was aweful, they left a hell of a mess on our dashboard. DISSATISFIED!

Customer service lacking.

Speedy quoted me a price of $98.00. Seemed high.

Had the repair done at a DIFFERENT autoglass shop where I received prompt, courteous service,at no cost for this small job.

They will getting my buisness when windsheild needs replacement due to helping me out not speedy.

I had a great experience with Speedy Glass. I don't like the monopoly that ICBC has (they wouldn't let me have the window replaced @ Honda) but, I was really pleased with Speedy. The place was clean & organized, the staff was super nice, & it was completed much sooner than I expected. The quality of work was excellent.

For the person that thought $87.50 was too expensive - this is Vancouver. A burrito generally costs at least $8.00. If you can't afford this city - you could move somewhere else.

Went in to Speedy today to have a stone bruise repaired. I was advised with ICBC insurance, the repair would be at my expense.

Quoted a price of $87.50. Seemed too high.

Had the repair done at a DIFFERENT autoglass shop where I received prompt, courteous service, great repair, and at less than half the price quoted by Speedy.

I had a rock hit my windshield and a crack started to spread. I thought I'd have to go to ICBC first, then be referred for a replacement. I was surprised that I could just go and Speedy would arrange everything, even a courtesy car if I needed it for the 3-4 hours required. They set up an appointment and called me a few days before to confirm it. The whole procedure took only 3 hours and was done efficiently and well. The inside of my car was protected. They even cleaned all the other windows. I stayed and worked while waiting. I am very satisfied with all aspects of their work.
