We had a coupon for having 5 rooms cleaned and 13 stairs. The total was to be $149 plus taxes. However when the people arrived to do the job, they then informed us that the carpets would need to have a 'browning' solution applied to them before cleaning at an additional cost of $35 per room! We were told that this needed to be done to protect the carpets from discoloring, etc. Well! After removing furniture from all the rooms required, and then having them arrive and spring this additional cost on us, you can only imagine our reaction. They were quickly sent on their merry way and we called another professional in to do the job. He came and did the job for less and did an excellent job at that. He had never heard of 'browning' and has been in business for 25 years. Don't let Sears snow job you. we will never do business with this company and will let all of our friends know about the rip off scam too.

i had a. coupon for $69.00 for carpet cleaning and that is all I needed but it cost me $205.00 because he would not listen. I will never have Sears again

Over the years we have used Sears Carpet Cleaning and I have always been satisfied.
Our carpet is getting pretty old but the gentleman who cleans our carpet always works extra hard on it and I appreciate his diligence and friendly manner.
